Our thoughts are with Aunty Ruth’s family and friends as we remember her life and the wonderful contribution she made to education and her community. She will be remembered for the knowledge she shared and the many students and people whose lives she touched. Her legacy will continue for generations to come.

The NSW AECG share the sad news of the passing of Aunty Ruth Simms, who was a Founding and Life Member of the NSW AECG.

Aunty Ruth dedicated her life to Aboriginal Education as an educator, mentor and advocate empowering young people to succeed and thrive.

Aunty Ruth has had a huge impact on Aboriginal Education, and her legacy will be felt by generations to come.

We extend our deepest condolences to her daughter Trudy, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

📚✨ Celebrating stories, creativity and a love of reading! ✨📚

We’re proud to celebrate Mrs Crilley, our very own Teacher Librarian, in her role as School Program Manager for the Berry Writers’ Festival! 💛

She has managed to organise bringing 10 amazing authors to the Shoalhaven to do events and tour a number of schools. We have 3 outstanding authors coming to Berry PS in November!

But kicking off the Children's program for the 2026 festival, this weekend, families are invited to A Morning of Stories at Bundanon — a wonderful opportunity for young readers to meet talented children’s authors, enjoy storytelling, discover the magic behind their favourite books and get creative together.

🎟️ FREE event — bookings essential!

Featuring children’s authors Kate Simpson, Aura Parker, Clayton Zane Comber and Conor McCammon, the morning promises plenty of inspiration for budding readers and storytellers. There will also be a creative workshop run by Aura for children and a special conversation for parents about nurturing a lifelong love of reading!

Congratulations to these two legends who had some incredible achievements over the holiday break.
Maia represented Samoa in the Heritage Cup Rugby League 9s. His team played countries such as New Zealand, Lebanon and Tonga. They won the Grand Final against Australia being undefeated the whole comp.
Vincent continued his golfing success in the Jack Newton International, winning the 3 day event by 24 stokes shooting a 12 over par for 54 holes.

We are excited to welcome students back tomorrow!!!
Our team spent our staff development day focused on our Student Behaviour Support Management Plan. Enhancing learning through connection & belonging, positive classroom climates, and consistent classroom management practices.
Then our stage teams collaboratively planned their programs, assessment tasks and reports. 
Super pumped for term 4!!!!

Stage 3 students enjoyed a fantastic middle session today during our Asia Expo, proudly showcasing all the hard work they’ve put into their Asian Country Studies.

The rest of the school had the opportunity to view their impressive projects, and everyone was inspired by the high standard of research and presentation.
