🚒Blessing of the Fleet🚒

Today, members of Beveridge Fire Brigade had the privilege of attending the Blessing of the Fleet.

It was a special occasion that brought together emergency service members and leaders from different parts of our community, who each offered their own blessing and words of support for our firefighters, appliances and all those who respond when our communities need them most.

It was great to come together, reflect on the service we provide, and recognise the many people and organisations who stand alongside emergency services.

🔥Burn off Advice🔥

While the weather may be looking nice this weekend, strong winds can quickly turn a burn-off into an out of control fire. 💨🔥

We’re asking our community to hold off on any planned burn-offs while high winds are around.

Even a small fire can spread rapidly when the wind picks up, putting your property and your neighbours at risk.

🔥 STAIR CLIMB COMPLETE! 🧑‍🚒💪

Yesterday, three of our Beveridge firefighters took on the incredible challenge of climbing 28 floors of Crown Metropol in full firefighting gear as part of the Firefighter Stair Climb.

With around 25kg of gear on their backs, they pushed themselves all the way to the top to help raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer, depression and su***de, including supporting the mental health and wellbeing of first responders.

It was a tough climb, but one made worthwhile by the cause and by everyone who donated, shared and supported our members along the way.

We’re incredibly proud of our three firefighters for stepping up to the challenge and representing Beveridge Fire Brigade and our community. 🚒
