During Term 3, our Year 3/4 students have been corresponding with local Beverley residents as part of a special Send It! Pen Pal Program brought to the school by the Beverley Community Resource Centre. This initiative has helped students learn about local history and gain insights into life in the past.

Last week, our students took a stroll to Alex Miles Lodge, where they met their pen pals in person. It was a fantastic opportunity to get to know these incredible members of our community and strengthen the friendships they have built through their letters.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff, Emma Davey and Heidi Hutchings, as well as our wonderful parent helpers, whose support made this camp possible.

πŸ“šβœ¨ Book Week may have arrived a little later at Beverley DHS, but that certainly didn’t stop us celebrating!

What an incredible effort from all our students (and parents!) with the amazing costumes on display throughout the day.

A special congratulations to our student leaders, Meila and Diesel, who did a fantastic job running this year's fashion parade.

The 2026 Book Week theme, "A Symphony of Stories", has also inspired students to collaborate on a short story together. This story 'The Secret Green Door' is now on display in the Library.

The Beverley DHS Choir students performed at the WA Massed Choir Festival on Saturday evening, taking part in a huge and inspiring event. It was an incredible culmination of all they have learned and worked towards throughout the year in choir.

A huge thank you to Mel Blechynden and Gemma Ugle for coordinating and supporting this wonderful opportunity for our students.

Congratulations to our choir students, whose stunning singing made us all incredibly proud. What a fantastic achievement and a memorable experience for everyone involved! πŸŽΆπŸ‘

πŸ’™πŸ“œπŸ— Every year, our Year 2 students take a walk to visit the volunteers at the Dead Finish Museum, where they are given a glimpse into the daily lives of Beverley's early pioneers and their children.

This hands-on learning experience provides a valuable opportunity for students to consolidate their understanding of past and present, building on learning from earlier in the year. It also allows them to connect with some of the local volunteers who help preserve and share part of our community's rich history.

A huge thank you to the Beverley Historical Society for once again welcoming our students and bringing history to life through their knowledge.πŸ’™πŸ“œπŸ—
