5/6A have been exploring a variety of forces within their Science unit. This lesson focused on buoyancy, with students investigating how changing the shape of plasticine affected whether it sank or floated when placed in tubs of water.πͺ£π₯Ό

Stage 1 had a fantastic day at Carss Park as part of their Geography unit on Features of Places! π π
Students explored a range of environments, including wetlands, bushland and beaches, while participating in hands-on activities. The excursion provided opportunities to learn about how people use and care for places and the importance of protecting the environment.

As part of their Science unit on Forces, 5/6H designed and created two different types of catapults to launch marshmallows. Students investigated how different designs affected the strength of the force, comparing which catapult launched further and discussing why some produced more or less force than others. π©βπ¬π¨βπ¬

KB have been exploring living things in Science. The students learned that plants need water, sunlight, air and soil to grow healthy and strong. π±βοΈ
During this lesson, they planted their own seeds and are excited to observe and care for them as they grow.
