Take a moment to read the below post from our besties at Cribby CFA - it might not only save your car, but save some lil birdies too ๐ฃ
On Wednesday Crib Point and Bittern Fire Brigade attended a call for a smoking car. The owner said the car smelt like it was burning and there was smoke coming out from the engine bay. On arrival we used a thermal imaging camera to pinpoint the source of the smoke, a smoldering animals nest of tightly packed dry straw, grass and sticks located between the chassis and the engine exhaust.
The car had been parked for a number of weeks giving time for critters to make it their new home.
If you car is parked for a few weeks, please take a minute to look under the hood for signs of bird or rodent activity.
