Can we fit? Sometimes we have noticed a concerning amount of Lake Cathie streets that have many vehicles parked parallel in narrow streets. This can obstruct our access and delay our response to an incident.
We know that the new estates don't have the street width of the older estates but it's important for Residents to be mindful of our truck access. Help us out and park with us in mind!

πŸš’ Joint Training Day! πŸ”₯

Today our brigade joined forces with NSW RFS - Camden Haven Brigade, Johns River Fire Brigade Public Page and NSW RFS - Lorne Brigade, along with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 358 Laurieton, for some great multi-agency training.

Today’s training focused on CABA operations in hot and warm zones, as well as communications β€” building the skills and confidence needed to work safely and effectively at incidents.

But it’s not all about the training! 🀝 Multi-agency exercises are also a great opportunity to get to know the crews we work alongside. When an incident happens, we can’t always choose who we’ll be working with, so having familiar faces and understanding how each agency operates makes a big difference.

A big thank you to everyone who took part today. It was a great day of learning and teamwork!πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’πŸ”₯

πŸ”₯ WHAT DOES IT REALLY FEEL LIKE WHEN A BUSH FIRE ARRIVES? πŸ”₯

We’re sharing a series of four videos featuring the lived experiences of NSW residents before, during and after bush fires impacted their properties.

Video 1 of 4 – Calga, September 2026

When fire started at Calga earlier this month, Darren and his family were ready.

In this video, Darren shares his experience and the steps he took before and during the fire to help protect his family and property.

πŸ”₯ Bush fires can be fast, unpredictable and frightening. Being prepared before a fire starts can make a huge difference when conditions change.

Preparation starts long before you can see smoke.

πŸ”₯ HIGH FIRE DANGER TOMORROW – MONDAY 21 SEPTEMBER πŸ”₯

A reminder to our Bonny Hills community that tomorrow, Monday 21 September, is a HIGH Fire Danger day across the Mid Coast District.

🚫 ALL FIRE PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED.

This means no burning is permitted under a fire permit while the suspension is in place. If you have a burn planned, please postpone it until conditions improve and permits are reinstated.

With conditions drying out, we all have a role to play in reducing the risk of fires starting and spreading.

πŸ”₯ Please don’t light a fire tomorrow.
πŸ‘€ Keep an eye on your surroundings.
πŸ“± Stay up to date with the latest Fire Danger Rating and local fire information.

If you see a fire, call Triple Zero (000).

Please share this post with your neighbours, friends and family to help spread the word.
