🏊‍♀️💦 DAY 1 OF SWIMMING, WHAT A SPLASHING START! 💦🏊‍♂️

WOW! What an amazing first day back in the pool for our Bororen State School swimmers! 🌟

We don't have quite as many photos as usual today because it was all hands on deck teaching, supporting and encouraging our little swimmers! 🐠💙

We are SO SUPER PROUD of how quickly everyone picked up their swimming skills again! It was wonderful to see their confidence growing and those little legs kicking away! 👏

But we have to give an extra special shout-out to our JELLYFISH! 🪼💦

Every single one of our Jellyfish put their head underwater and blew bubbles! 🫧👏 AND they kicked on both their fronts and backs using kickboards!

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! 🤩🙌

What an incredible achievement, especially for our littlest swimmers! The smiles, determination and confidence were absolutely priceless! ❤️

We couldn't be prouder of all our students. What a fantastic start to our swimming programme!

❤️ DAY FOR DANIEL 2026 ❤️

🔴 Wear Red, Educate and Protect! 🔴

Today, our Bororen State School students and staff proudly wore red to support Day for Daniel 2026, a day dedicated to raising awareness about child safety and remembering Daniel Morcombe.

Day for Daniel is an important reminder that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, heard and protected.

Throughout the day, we reinforced important personal safety messages, encouraging our students to recognise when something doesn't feel right, trust their instincts, speak up and identify trusted adults they can turn to for help.

At Bororen State School, we believe that teaching children how to stay safe is just as important as teaching them to read, write and count. These are life skills that empower our students to make safe choices and look after themselves and others.

💙💛 Grandparents Day 2026 – Making Precious Memories! 💛💙

What a beautiful morning filled with love, laughter and plenty of special moments at Bororen State School! 🥰🌸

We danced, we ate, we laughed, and most importantly, we created precious memories together! 💃🕺💕

There is something truly special about bringing generations together and watching the joy on our students' faces as they share these moments with their grandparents. ❤️

From showing off our dance moves to enjoying some delicious food and wonderful company, our Grandparents Day celebrations were certainly one to remember! 🌟

🎃🍬 A very special thank you to our wonderful School Nan, who surprised our students with a special Halloween treat! What a thoughtful gesture that brought even more excitement and smiles to our day! We are so lucky to have such caring people in our school community. 🧡👻

A huge thank you to all our wonderful grandparents and special guests who joined us. Your love, encouragement and support mean the world to our students, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our little school community. 💙💛

💙💛 Grandparents Day in our Year 3–6 Classroom! 💛💙

What a wonderful morning we had celebrating our very special grandparents at Bororen State School! 🥰🌸

Our Year 3–6 students were excited to welcome their grandparents into the classroom and proudly show off their knowledge, skills and all the wonderful things they have been learning! 📚✏️🌟

It was such a special opportunity for our students to share their achievements, demonstrate their hard work and give their grandparents a little glimpse into their everyday learning. 💕

There were plenty of proud smiles, wonderful conversations and special moments shared between generations! 🥰

💙💛 Grandparents Day in our Prep–2 Classroom! 💛💙

What a beautiful morning we had celebrating our wonderful grandparents at Bororen State School! 🥰🌸

Our Prep–2 students were delighted to share a special reading of the poem “Zack in the Bush” with their grandparents. 📖🌿

Following the reading, our grandparents rolled up their sleeves and joined their grandchildren in completing some beautiful artwork inspired by the poem! 🎨🖌️

It was so lovely to see the different generations working together, sharing smiles, getting creative and making special memories along the way. 💕

A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful grandparents for joining us and being such an important part of our school community.

❤️🔴 DAY FOR DANIEL IS COMING! 🔴❤️

This Friday, 30th October, Bororen State School will be recognising Day for Daniel, Australia's largest child safety education and awareness day. ❤️

Day for Daniel is a special opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of child safety and empower our children with the knowledge and confidence to recognise unsafe situations, seek help and speak up when something doesn't feel right. 🫶

At Bororen State School, the safety and wellbeing of our students is always our priority. We believe that every child deserves to feel safe, supported, valued and heard. 💕

🔴 WEAR RED! 🔴

We encourage all students to wear RED on Friday to show their support and help raise awareness for this incredibly important cause!

Swimming Starts this Friday!

Every Friday, our students will travel to Calliope to develop their swimming skills, build confidence in the water and learn important water safety skills. 🌊✨
Living in Queensland, swimming is such an important life skill! These lessons are not only about having fun but also about teaching our students skills that could one day save a life. 💙
