MEET OUR NEW DEPUTY PRINCIPAL β MR TIM FRENCH! π
We are excited to welcome Mr Tim French to Bowral High School as our new Deputy Principal β Inclusion and Support! π
With almost 20 years in education, Mr French brings a wealth of experience, leadership and a passion for helping students achieve their best.
We asked Mr French a few questions to help our school community get to know him! π
1. Where have you worked before Bowral High School?
I began my teaching career as a Music teacher at Picton High School, where I spent 10 years taking on roles including Year Adviser, HT CAPA and HT Teaching and Learning. In 2018, I became Deputy Principal at Camden High School, where I've worked with an amazing team to improve student outcomes, wellbeing and future pathways. I'm sad to leave such a wonderful school but excited for a new challenge!
2. What are you most excited about at Bowral High School?
I'm excited to join the BHS team, meet our students and families, and embrace new challenges. I believe in growth and look forward to working together to support students in achieving their goals. I can't wait to see what's possible in a school that deserves to be known as the heart of the community!
3. Why is being Deputy Principal Inclusion and Support important to you?
Every student deserves to feel valued, supported and included. I believe schools should work closely with families to build confidence, a love of learning and opportunities for every student to succeed. Inclusion means creating an environment where everyone belongs and believes they can achieve their best.
4. If you weren't working in education, what would you be doing?
Music has always been a huge part of my life! I still play in a covers band and love making music with mates. I also enjoy travelling with my wife and three kids, and I'm an obsessive mountain biker! π΅ββοΈπΈ
I'd probably need to win the lotto to do those things full-time! As for another career? Maybe Bunnings? π
Please join us in giving Mr French a warm Bowral High School welcome!
