Congratulations to Year 11 students, Abbey, Ella, and Sarah and Brighton Junior Campus Year 4 student, Kaitlin on their selection into Team Victoria for the School National Swimming Championships in Melbourne. The meet will be held at MSAC during July. Well done on all your hard work.

Firbank is very excited to announce that three of our swimming coaches have qualified for the Commonwealth Games selection swimming trials which will be telecast on Channel 7 tonight:

Sam Williamson (pictured) has qualified 5th into tonight’s finals of the 200m breaststroke after achieving a Personal Best time this morning. As this is a selection meet, only the top 8 from the heats make it through to finals. This is a change from the usual top 16 into semi finals. Sam is also in the 100m breaststroke tomorrow and then the 50m on Friday.

Nick Findeisen will be racing in the 200m Medley on Friday and 50m backstroke on Saturday.

Hamish Harrison will be swimming in the 50m breaststroke heats on Friday.

Don't forget FAS Race night this Friday 9th June!! Entries need to be given between 5:30-6pm. Any latecomers may not be accepted

Another fantastic turnout for Race Night 2 of term tonight with over 80 swimmers in attendance!!

Firbank Aquastars' Race Nights are a great way to immerse in the friendly atmosphere of Firbank Grammar's fantastic Swim School and to gain some valuable experiences perhaps racing new events or distances for the first time without the pressure of competing at MSAC. All with some great music playing and a sausage sizzle to entice you after your races!

What a brilliant turnout for the first Race Night of term 2!! 119 swimmers 🎉🎉 the BIGGEST RACE NIGHT EVER!! Thanks to all those who volunteered their time tonight on the BBQ, marshalling, timekeeping, check starting, the efficient starter and the computer tech whiz kids! And big thank you to ALL SWIMMERS for being so enthused to come along for a great night of fun, swimming, snags, music and more fun 😀😀🎉🎉
