Little Red Beetle

This is what I have been working on all this week, while on holidays.😓 I hadn't done much shirring since the 70's when it was fashionable. Seems shirring is back. I made a few mistakes and it took a few trials before I got it right. I had limited fabric , but I'm happy how it turned out. For a friend who gave me a skirt to cut and make this top. I would never attempt something like this for myself. So thankfull someone trusted me and gave me a challenge. Challenge accepted.😂
P.S Forgot to mention that I had no pattern, just a top to copy.

I have been working on this one for a while, in between nanna duties.😂 It's a crochet turtle memory game. I have made 14 baby turtles, but I think I can get a couple more inside mummy turtle. Just have to put eyes on mummy turtle and a button on the tail to close. I hope to have it finished by Christmas.Isn't it cute.💚

A little project I have been working on for a friends Christmas Table. It turned out really nice. Table Runner. My friend chose the fabric and I crochted around the edge for her.

A prickle of hedgehogs. Great for people with anxiety and the elderly who love to fidget with their hands. 2 are going to friends elderly mother and grandma. So cute and quick to make.

I made another one. This time I used a bigger hook and altered the pattern a little bit. The pattern was a youtube video and I'm not great at trying to crochet while watching a video. So I managed to type it up while watching and then tweeked it to suit. I think it looks better. I am gifting this one to a friends granny.

So this is the latest thing apparently, so had to make one. A fidget hedghog. I would be interested to know if it helps someone. I've heard these are great for the elderly? It fits in the palm of your hand or pocket. I would like to give it away and would like some feedback. It reminds me of a grandma in curlers.🤣. Send me a message if you want one. Giraffe hot off the hook. Measures about 30cm. Made with acrylic yarn. Stuffed with polly fill. Fully washable. Perfect for cuddles. $30 if anyone is interested.

I have been wanting to make this bunny for a while and so glad I found the time. This is by far the cutest bunny ever 🩷 and I will be sorry to give it away. I made it for a friends granddaughter who was born today. It is much bigger than I thought it would be and I ran out of cream yarn. One of the ears is a slightly different colour, but hopefully they won't notice. It took me a week to make, but so worth it. I will be making another one when I find some more pink and cream yarn. Isn't she adorable.💝 Oh and I made a cute baby beanie too.

Christmas gnomes for a special friend. Snowman, Santa and Rudolf. Kinda cute don't you think? Small enough to fit in your hand.

I have gone back to making dolls and made this little cutie. She is made from soft calico and stuffed with polly fill. The dress comes off easily with no snaps or buttons. She stands approx. 38cm tall. Perfect small gift for a child to cuddle. I have lots of pretty material to make dresses or pants if you would prefer a boy doll. My glow in the dark zombie cat. I put him in the sun for about 1 1/2 hours and now he glows.🥰
