Work is officially underway at our development at Wighton Street, Margate! 🎉

We were thrilled to celebrate onsite with Emma Comer MP and our partners as construction begins on 60 new social and affordable homes — supported by the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF Round 1).

This landmark project will deliver a mix of affordable and social homes in an area of acute housing need.

Delivered through a strong partnership between:
- Bric Housing
- Traders in Purple
- Conscious Investment Management
with support from City of Moreton Bay.

Together, we’re building homes and creating opportunities for people in need — right in the heart of the Margate community.

Fantastic to see the much-needed support the team at Chameleon are providing for young people in the community 😀

On Tuesday we had the absolute pleasure of Ellen and Jess from Bric Housing attend Chameleon House.
They donated a very needed box of refurbished phones to help young people and families who are in need.
These phones will help young people to stay connected with services and access supports.
It was brilliant to sit and learn about Bric’s housing program and share information as services. 😊

Last week, we were proud to join in celebrating the incredible individuals, groups and organisations driving positive change for mental health across Queensland at the Queensland Mental Health Awards. 💚

These awards recognise those who show innovation, inclusion and courage in challenging stigma - creating hope, connection and opportunity for people living with mental illness.

A big congratulations to all the nominees and winners who are making a real difference in our communities! 👏

🎉 This month, Bric Housing and Open Minds are celebrating 10 years of partnership at Henry Street, Redcliffe – a supported housing community that has changed lives by combining safe homes with wraparound support.

Since opening in 2015, Henry Street has provided stability, dignity, and hope for more than 60 tenants facing homelessness, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and other barriers.

We were proud to mark this milestone at a special event last week alongside tenants, partners, and community leaders, and to continue delivering local solutions that create pathways out of homelessness. 💙

This fantastic annual event is coming up at New Farm Neighbourhood Centre. Pop the date in your calendar and enjoy a great art exhibition and auction as well as food and entertainment.
