Today MYB attended sailing as part of their Physical Education program. Everyone was very excited and we had a fantastic morning sailing around Moreton Bay. Thank you to the wonderful crew from The Making Waves Foundation for allowing us to have this amazing experience and keeping us so safe on the water.

Every day counts 19/05/2026

Flu season is here, and keeping kids healthy helps them stay engaged in learning. Simple steps like handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when unwell can make a big difference. If your child is sick, please contact the school so we can work together to keep them on track.

Every day counts Every day counts is a state wide initiative that aims to assist in improving student attendance at school through a shared commitment by students, parents, caregivers, schools and the community.

Positive Transitions: How families play a part in transitions 19/05/2026

Positive transitions start with families.
Families play a vital role in helping children feel safe, confident and connected as they move into and through school.
Whether it is from home to early learning, kindergarten to school, primary to secondary, positive transitions between these settings are vital to shape a learner’s sense of belonging, confidence and wellbeing.
Transitions are not one-off events—they are ongoing and can be complex and diverse. When learners and families feel
supported during these transitions, they are more likely to feel settled, engaged and ready to grow in their learning journey.
