📣 REMINDER: Protest + BONUS Legal Briefing!

This Friday the police and the Housing Minister are still intending to evict David from his home in Taringa.

The Minister could put an end to this right now by calling up the police and telling them not to execute the warrant.

In the last few days, the Department of Housing has said that they can move David into TEMPORARY housing at a hotel Spring Hill. He would only have a 3 month lease, and would be subject to some truly absurd rules and conditions. More importantly there is still no long-term plan to get David housing. Moving would also mean increasing his rent by 50% and removing him from his community of 25+ years.

❗We will still be going ahead with the protest on Friday ❗ since that's when the eviction is scheduled to happen. Details in the event below.👇

We can tell that even announcing this protest has already put a lot of pressure on the Department of Housing.

Last night we revisited the Telstra monolith at Woolongabba. We discovered we could get access to the abandoned apartments across the road, so we negotiated the thoroughly trashed building & projected from the 3rd floor balcony of a burnt-out flat. This gave us an excellent angle, but we discovered that the ambient light has increased due to the Cross River Rail building site, so next time we'll just project black & white to maximise brightness.
