Construction in Queensland is big, busy, and booming—with a building pipeline of over $40 billion projected across the next eight years.
Driven by rapid population growth, ambitious net zero goals, and the momentum of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games, construction job vacancies continue to grow year after year.
Meeting this demand will require employers to embrace the full spectrum of talent—including skilled international students and graduates.
Last week, and Investment Queensland and Queensland brought together key stakeholders for a powerful seminar focused on empowering international students to contribute meaningfully to Queensland’s construction future.
A huge thank you to our insightful speakers, including: Abundance Hopkins, of Employment and Workplace Relations Martin, Under Centre Zandt Taylor, Byram, Legal Rikhi, for sharing their guidance and inspiration.
Hiring international students isn’t just good for business—it’s essential for a resilient, future-ready workforce.
