Enhancing life-saving capability in the field.

The 2nd Health Battalion recently conducted a Military Transfusion Training Course, with participation from 4th Health Battalion - Australian Army personnel, equipping members with the skills required to safely collect blood donations and administer transfusions in austere environments 🩸

This Mother’s Day, we recognise all the mothers connected to our battalion—those who serve in uniform, and those who support from home.

Across our ranks are members who are mothers, members who are daughters, and families whose support helps make service possible. Many of our people carry both roles, balancing the responsibilities of service and family.

Service doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s made possible by the people who stand beside us, encourage us, and help us carry the responsibility that comes with wearing the uniform.

To every mother in our battalion community—thank you. Your impact is seen, valued, and respected.

Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

The Nurses Memorial Candlelight Vigil, on the eve of Anzac Day, pays tribute to all nurses who have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Held at the Nurses’ Memorial at Anzac Square, this moving service acknowledges the important contribution of nurses over the more than 125 years in which Australia has been involved in conflicts. The Vigil also commemorates nursing more widely.
