I came from the dreamtime from the dusty red soil plains
I am the ancient heart, the keeper of the flame
I stood upon the rocky shore
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I'd been the first Australian.
I came upon the prison ship bowed down by iron chains.
I cleared the land, endured the lash and waited for the rains.
I'm a settler.
I'm a farmer's wife on a dry and barren run
A convict then a free man I became Australian.
I'm the daughter of a digger who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman on the long and dusty road
I'm a child of the depression
I saw the good times come
I'm a bushy, I'm a battler
I am Australian
[chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I'm a teller of stories
I'm a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
I paint the ghostly gums
I am Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky
The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
I am Australian
[chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian
I am, you are, we are Australian.

Another successful curry lunch event. Thank you to Jarrod Bleijie MP for coming all the way from the Sunshine Coast for his support. The food was delicious at Ginger Indian Gourmet and the company was magnificent.

Locals on the northern Gold Coast are being heard loud and clear. They want a government that will tackle problems like rising interest rates, inflation and local crime.
Cameron Caldwell will be a strong representative in Parliament and will put the fight to Labor on its bad economic decisions causing more pain for families and small businesses.

The state’s Treasurer likes to compare Queensland with NSW.
Here’s a comparison.
The Queensland Government borrowing $28 billion could be justified were it spent on infrastructure and jobs for years to come, instead our state’s net worth will increase by only $150 million.
New South Wales however, is borrowing $62 billion but will increase its state worth by $30 billion in just four years.
This Government is borrowing to pay for every day expenses.

This is really BAD😡
Queensland's VERY LATE Budget: Has delivered a broken promise from Labor just over a month after the election. Despite promising only $4 billion in additional borrowings, they’re now borrowing $28 billion. We are headed for $130 billion in debt. To top it off, currently 214,000 Queenslanders are looking for work.
