Today is World Environment Day 2026. At HPK we believe everyday is an opportunity to instil in our children the importance of caring for the country on which we learn and play together.
HPK has been nestled amongst the trees since 1952. We are a community kindy affiliated with Lady Gowrie.
We value the importance of play and have created a safe nurturing environment in which children can become confident, resilient life-long learners. Our centre is nestled amongst beautiful old trees adjoining Mott Park. In this supportive, spacious and well equipped environment, children engage in a year of discovery – playing, sharing and working alongside a consistent group of peers and adults. I

Holland Park Kindy has collaborated with our neighbours Mott Park Kindy to create a Sea of Hearts as part of National Reconciliation Week. It is wonderful to see our community come together to contribute to such a meaningful project. Through storytelling, creativity and connection we are embedding a commitment to reconciliation in all generations.

Little hands, big creativity. Today our Kookaburra children enjoyed turning shaving cream into "Ice Cream". They explored, collaborated and had a wonderful time learning through play together.
Come and see what is beyond the fence at Holland Park kindy. Our come and play morning is this Saturday 9-10:30 for the 2027 and beyond children and their families.

Qualifications matter, but great educators possess qualities beyond certificates.
They genuinely enjoy being with young children. They find children's questions interesting and their company delightful. This isn't something you can teach.
They observe carefully and respond thoughtfully. They notice what interests each child and provide experiences that extend learning.
They respect children as capable people who can solve problems, make choices, and construct understanding.
Great educators see teaching young children as intellectually demanding work that shapes futures.
