Huge congratulations to Rebecca on taking on the Toastmasters role for the first time! You absolutely nailed it Rebecca👏 Rebecca’s chosen theme, “Lessons from a Dog,” had us all smiling and sharing heartwarming stories about our furry friends.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Alexa as our newest member! We’re so excited to have you join the Kenmore Toastmasters family!💙

It was a lovely evening filled with tales of our beloved pets and the wisdom they bring to our lives. Who knew our four legged friends had so much to teach us about joy, loyalty and living in the moment🐕🦴🐾

Welcome to the club, Coco🎩⭐️

We’re thrilled to welcome Coco to the Kenmore Toastmasters family! We absolutely love her enthusiasm and energy- she is already fitting right in!
Monday night was a great evening. Not only did we welcome Coco, but we had a wonderful evening exploring the theme “The many hats we wear.”
And of course, we couldn’t resist taking the theme literally!🤣Members showed up wearing their favourite and quirkiest hats, adding an extra dose of fun and laughter to the evening.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we love Toastmasters. It’s not just about improving our speaking skills, it’s about being part of a community.

Welcome aboard Coco. We can’t wait to see all the amazing contributions you’ll bring to the club.

What a Night! Interclub Cartoon Debate🎤🎨
Thursday night was absolutely hilarious as Kenmore Toastmasters hosted a fun filled interclub challenge with a twist!
The debate theme: The most iconic cartoon character of all time.

Each club passionately argued the case for their chosen character and the energy in the room was contagious. Here’s how it went down:
🐾 Chelmer championed the beloved Snoopy. 💭Indooroopilly raced in with Road Runner. 🩷Serendipity made the case for the Road Runner 😽Kenmore defended the lasagna loving Garfield.

The arguments were creative, the rebuttals were witty and there was a lot of laughter. It was lovely to see members from different clubs come together for a light hearted evening of friendly competition.
Now for the big question. Can you guess who won the debate? 🏆

On Monday, we had the pleasure of inducting our newest member! We’re thrilled to have you join our Toastmasters community, Svetlana. We know that you are going to love being part of this supportive and inclusive group!💙
A big shout out to Jill, who served as our Toastmaster for the evening and took us on a fascinating journey exploring the darker origins of fairy tales, all the way through to the more lighthearted versions we’ve come to know and love from Walt Disney. What an intriguing theme⭐️

🎉🎤WE ARE ABSOLUTELY STOKED🎤🎉 Huge congratulations to our amazing member Libby, who came SECOND in the Humorous Speech Contest at the District 69 Eastern Division Conference🏆
Libby absolutely WOWED the crowd with her incredible performance! Yes, she was nervous (who wouldn’t be?), but she stepped up, owned that stage, and showed everyone what she’s made of. We couldn’t be prouder! 💪🏽🌟

This is what Toastmasters is all about, pushing past those nerves, finding your voice, and shining bright. Libby, you are an inspiration to us all!
And a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support her. That’s the Toastmasters family right there!

🌙 What a stellar evening at Toastmasters on Monday night🌙
John treated us to a fascinating presentation on Artemis and Apollo. It was a night of mythological illumination! We learned so much about these ancient dieties and their incredible stories.
We were also honored to have our Area Director, Pam, join us for the evening. Always wonderful to have the leadership team visit our club! Bonus is that we received a great rating and wonderful feedback💪🏽
And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, we welcomed four new guests! We hope they enjoyed the evening (and the light refreshments) as much as we enjoyed having them😊

🎉What a fantastic Toastmasters meeting we had last night!🎉
We were absolutely delighted to welcome Four guests to our club! We think they had a wonderful time…though we might be just a little biased!😊
Last night we shook things up a bit and stepped away from our usual format to try something different…a team puzzle challenge! And what a challenge it was! Imagine trying to complete a puzzle without being able to see the picture. Talk about putting our communication skills to the test!
It was such a blast working together, and it drove home just how important clear communication is when we’re working as a team.
As always, fun was had by all, laughter filled the room, and we learned something valuable along the way. That’s what Toastmasters is all about.
Can’t wait to see everyone again at our next meeting! ⭐️

What a wonderful way to kick off 2026! We had our first meeting for the year, and it was so lovely to be back in the lighthearted company of fellow friends and members.
We are looking forward to a fantastic year of supporting each other, growing together and celebrating all the wins, big and small along the way.

Our next meetings are on February 9th at 7pm and February 23rd at 7pm.

Whether you are looking to build confidence, improve speaking skills or simply be part of a warm and welcoming community, come and join us.
