Celebrating Chappy Tom π
This week is Chaplaincy Week, a chance to recognise and celebrate the important role school chaplains play in supporting students and school communities.
At Grovely, we are grateful for Chappy Tom, who is a valued part of our support team and a friendly, caring presence for so many of our students and families. Whether itβs offering a listening ear, helping students navigate challenges, or simply being there when needed, we thank Chappy Tom for the positive difference he makes in our school community every day. π

πβ¨ A strong start for Prep at Grovely β¨π
Our Prep students have made a wonderful start to the year at Grovely, settling beautifully into school life while already showing what it means to live The Grovely Way β Work Hard, Be Kind, Stay Safe. π
It has been lovely to see new friendships forming as students grow in confidence and independence each day. From hands-on maths and literacy learning to play-based investigations and curious questions about the world around them, our youngest learners have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and joy.
We are so proud of the effort, resilience and excitement our Preppies have shown so far, and we canβt wait to see all they continue to achieve this term. ππ

Walking together in reflection and respect π€πβ€οΈ
Today, members of our Grovely State School Student Leaders and staff attended the community National Sorry Day service at Teralba Park.
The ceremony provided an important opportunity to reflect, listen and pay respect to the Stolen Generations and their families, while recognising the ongoing strength, resilience and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We thank the Teralba Park Stolen Generations Support Group Inc. for hosting this meaningful community event and for welcoming our students and staff to stand together in remembrance and reconciliation.
We also warmly invite our Grovely community to join us as we come together to acknowledge National Sorry Day at our special assembly this Thursday (28 May). Further details have been shared with families.
