βš– Year 11 and 12 Legal Studies βš–

On Monday 11 May, Year 11 and 12 Legal Studies Students attended the Legal Studies Students Conference at UniSQ Ipswich.

The Conference delivered by the Business Educators’ Association of Queensland provided attendees with the chance to hear from Law Professors, Lawyers and Barristers, Not-For-Profit organisations and other legal professionals currently working in the field, offering valuable insight into the legal profession, current legal issues, and future career pathways within law and justice.

Students, along with Legal Studies teachers Miss Blacklock and Ms Ayers, had a huge day of legal learning and were able to deepen their understanding of the Australian legal system through engaging presentations and real-world case studies. It was a highly rewarding experience for all involved, and students represented Springfield Central with enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the day. ✨

πŸŽ₯ Year 11 Certificate III Screen and Media πŸŽ₯

Recently, our Year 11 Certificate III Screen and Media students enjoyed an informative presentation from Giuseppe Cassin, an Entertainment and Intellectual Property Lawyer with extensive experience in the Screen Industry. πŸ“Έ

Mr Cassin walked our students through a variety of topics including contracts, copyright law and defamation. The experience was certainly enlightening and will assist students as they complete their assessment and throughout the remainder of the Screen and Media course.

Additionally, students learned that there are many and varied roles in the entertainment industries and that a Certificate III in Screen and Media is a starting point that could take them to many places. πŸ‘

Facilitated by Essential Screen Skills through the Screen and Media Gateway to Industry Schools program proudly supported and funded by QLD Government and Essential Crew.
