We're sharing some electrifying news to round off Small Business Month!💡
Thanks to the Australian Energy Regulator’s Default Market Offer (DMO), electricity prices in South East Queensland will fall by up to 14% for small businesses, the biggest drop in over a decade! 🙌
The DMO sets the maximum price electricity retailers can charge, powering up the savings and putting it back in the pockets of small businesses.
Households will also see prices fall by up to 10.7%, with South East Queenslanders in line for largest drop in power costs, outstripping both South Australia and New South Wales.
It’s all part of the Energy Roadmap to deliver affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for Queenslanders. ⚡

Stronger research leads to safer roads.
The Queensland Government is backing five more years of funding for the Road Safety Research Collaboration, a partnership between the Motor Accident Insurance Commission and the University of the Sunshine Coast.
As Australia’s first regionally based road safety research entity, the collaboration has built a team of over 20 academics, scholars and research officers.
This continued investment will help deliver world-class research, strengthen local expertise and support evidence-based action on issues including impaired driving.

Happy International Tea Day, Queenslanders. ☕️
We know a good thing when we sip it. Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows Queensland households spend on average 90 cents a week on tea - proof that a humble cuppa delivers serious value.
Small spend, big impact. 📈
But it’s not just a household favourite, tea also plays a role in Queensland’s trade story. In 2024–25, our state exported $1.4 million worth of tea overseas, quietly contributing to the economy one cup at a time.
So today, as we celebrate International Tea Day, we’re raising a mug to Queensland, where even the little things add up.
Now over to you 👇
