Gallipoli 9th Battalion First Ashore

9th Battalion ANZAC Centenary exhibition August 2015 to November 2016. The ANZAC Centenary (www.anzaccentenary.gov.au) was commemorated from 2014 to 2018.

At ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli, Turkey, on 25 April 1915, soldiers from the Australian 9th Battalion AIF (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9th_Battalion,_Royal_Queensland_Regiment#World_War_I & www.awm.gov.au/units/unit_11196.asp) were first ashore.
