Did you know out of every $100 in tax you pay, local councils get just $3?💰
Yet it’s councils that provide the roads, parks, pools, libraries and infrastructure that growing communities like ours need every day.
As Brisbane’s population continues to surge, that $3 has to stretch further than ever.

There aren't many events where you'll see Brisbane's business leaders swapping spreadsheets for sequins 💃✨
Dancing CEOs brought together leaders from across our city for a night of entertainment, fundraising and community support, all in aid of Women’s Legal Service Queensland.
Beyond the performances, the event was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when Brisbane comes together to support women and children impacted by domestic and family violence.

Many years ago others saw a derelict wharf. We saw the potential to create a world-class riverfront destination for Brisbane.
Today, Howard Smith Wharves has become one of Australia’s great urban transformation success stories and one of the most popular places to enjoy our river city.
We’ve continued backing the precinct every step of the way, including making it easier to get there with new CityCat services and better public transport connections helping more people leave the car at home and enjoy everything Brisbane has to offer.
Now we’re announcing the next chapter for Howard Smith Wharves, with more jobs, more hotel rooms, more to see and do and even more reasons to experience Brisbane’s incredible river lifestyle. 👀
