Better late than never. Meet Diana, our Sector Engagement and Development volunteer.
Diana is an invaluable member of the Volunteering Queensland team, supporting the Sector Engagement and Development team research and analyse trends affecting the local community sector to help develop practical support strategies.
Diana wanted to volunteer because she had extra time she wanted to spend differently. “I was looking for a productive way to add a bit of structure to my week and step out of my routine.”
When asked how volunteering has impacted her, Diana said: “On a personal level, this role has given me a profound sense of purpose. Knowing that my work helps build sustainable systems and supports the people driving community initiatives is incredibly rewarding.”
If Diana motivates you to give volunteering a go, search our volunteer roles and get involved: https://volunteeringqld.org.au/

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared histories, cultures, and futures, and to consider the role we each play in reconciliation.
This year's theme, 'All in', reminds us that reconciliation requires ongoing action, learning, and commitment for all of us.
Here at Volunteering Queensland, we are committed to learning more about our shared histories and cultures, and exploring how we can contribute meaningfully to achieving reconciliation.
