Wow Townsville! Over the past 30 days, you have added an incredible 111 jacaranda flowers to The Tree of Healing 💜
Throughout Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, this art activation has raised awareness of prevention by creating a powerful visual statement of support and awareness. With the month of May coming to an end, the tree will be packed up, but the message it carries will continue to grow in our community. Each flower represents a voice, a story, and a shared commitment to a safer future for all.
💜Thank you, , for showing what it means to stand together with compassion, hope and strength!

Did you know Act for Kids runs an evidence-based child safety program called Learn to Be Safe with Emmy & Friends? 🗣️
👉Designed for children aged 0–10, Emmy teaches kids that they have the right to feel safe all the time — and gives them the confidence and language to speak up if something doesn't feel right.
Our Emmy facilitators deliver the program in schools and early learning centres across Australia. Free resources are also available to download. Link in bio.
Help keep kids safe — share this with a teacher or parent in your life.

Many Queensland families are struggling to cope with cost-of-living pressures and the housing crisis. For families in regional areas, those pressures stack up, with higher costs, greater distances and less access to essential services.
10,511 families across Queensland are waiting for safe, stable housing — but together, we can help change that.
Every child and family deserves a place to feel safe, supported and connected to their community.

National Reconciliation Week begins today (27 May – 3 June). This year's theme is "All In" — a call for all Australians to commit to reconciliation not just this week, but every single day.
For Act for Kids, reconciliation means ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children have access to culturally safe support, that community voices lead the solutions, and that we do our part to close the gap in child wellbeing.
