🎤✨ Debate Night Victory! ✨🎤

Bulimba Riverside Toastmasters went head-to-head with Waterloo Bay Toastmasters Club, Wynnum, Brisbane, Qld in an inter-club debate on the big question: “Is Brisbane’s growth a good or a bad thing?”

We took the Negative side (that growth is a good thing!) with Maja, Pete, and Scott putting their persuasive powers to work. Waterloo Bay brought the fire with Vinh, Glenda, and Matt arguing the Affirmative.

After a lively exchange of wit, facts, and the occasional cheeky comeback… 🏆 Bulimba Riverside came out on top!

A huge thank you to Waterloo Bay for hosting such a fun and thought-provoking evening. Nights like these remind us why we love Toastmasters – great people, big ideas, and plenty of laughs.

We had a fantastic night at our special event on Tuesday, September 24th, with the inspiring Di Farmer MP, State Member for the Bulimba Electorate in attendance. Her insightful speech and engaging presence truly energized our meeting. A big thank you to Di Farmer MP for motivating us all!

We also want to extend our gratitude to those from the Waterloo Bay Toastmasters Club, Wynnum, Brisbane, Qld who joined us for the evening. Your support and camaraderie made the event even more memorable!

Tonight we celebrated our very own Peter Green celebrating his 30 YEAR MILESTONE as a member of our very own Bulimba Riverside Toastmasters club!

Peter gave an excellent speech appropriately titled "Anniversary", where Peter took back to 1994, sharing the rich foundations of our club, called the "Dialtones Toastmasters" back then and even had his original Dialtones membership certificate to prove it!

Congratulations Peter on a great milestone and a huge thank-you for your great service to our club and support for all our fellow members and guests!
