35 Army Cadet Unit - Broadmeadows

🏆 Congratulations to 37 Army Cadet Unit Albury-Wodonga for taking out the Intranos and Silver Bullet trophies this year.

Whilst our teams from Broadmeadows didn’t win this year, they displayed a high level of teamwork and camaraderie throughout the weekend, well done!

35 will return in 2027 and reclaim the Silver Bullet!

It’s a cold morning at Puckapunyal but nothing an open fire can’t fix!

33 Battalion Super Weekend (PM)

Our two teams have closed out the day with quick decision exercises, physical training and command post set up.

The quick decision exercises removed the key leadership positions from the teams to see how the cadets would react in an emergency first aid scenario.

Command post set up was new to some of our cadets and there are definitely some lessons learnt about the right way up for the tent canvas!

33 Battalion Super Weekend (AM)

The two teams from 35 ACU have completed the activity rotations for the morning.

Cadets undertook the Cadet LF 1 and Cadet LF 2 shoots under Army supervision in the Weapon Training Simulation System. Their scores will go towards determining the top overall section and top individual firers.

Following the shoot, both teams were assessed in drill by the Battalion RSM.

Road to 33 Battalion Super Weekend

The 1st and 2nd Broadmeadows teams have been working hard over the past few weeks to retain the battalion trophy.

They’re now on the way to Puckapunyal to defend the title at the battalion inter unit competition!

Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge

Delighted to announce Cadet Sena Yilmaz has been selected to represent Victoria at the upcoming Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge.

Well done on your selection and good luck on the challenge!

Great opportunity for cadets thinking about applying for university entry.

In Victoria, La Trobe University has the Aspire program which recognises cadet experience and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Did you know that some universities recognise your cadet experience and Duke of Edinburgh awards boosting your chances of selection?

The adult volunteers are often doing hard work behind the scenes and in their spare time making sure activities go ahead for the cadets.

They are the centre of gravity, without whom the program would not run.

Last Day of Ex Chimera

The cadets are almost done and will be back with their families soon where they’ll probably need a shower.
