Honouring the Silent Pillars of Change at #VicVolAward2025

Volunteers are the heartbeat of every NGO—the quiet forces working tirelessly behind the scenes, expecting nothing in return. They are the unwavering pillars of support, offering kindness, strength, and hope to those who need it most. Their dedication transforms lives, often in ways unseen or heard but deeply felt.

Last night at the RACV Club Melbourne CBD, we celebrated the true essence of volunteering—selfless service, compassion, and resilience. These extraordinary individuals and organisations balance their own lives while ensuring help reaches those in need, often going above and beyond to uplift their communities.

It is with immense pride that VicWISE ( current @AusWISE 2025) was honoured with the Volunteering Partnership Award, recognising our commitment to collaboration and impact in the volunteering sector. This achievement belongs to every volunteer who has given their time, energy, and heart to make a difference within the NGO.

A huge congratulations to all the incredible winners and finalists:
#Gather My Crew -Volunteering Innovation Award #TribeMoonbulkYouth – Most Valuable Service to Youth Award

🏆 Tyrese Walsh - Young Volunteer Award
🏆 Afra Sarfaraz – Volunteer Leadership Award
🏆 Gather My Crew – Premier’s Organisation of the Year
🏆 Cherie McLean – Premier’s Volunteer of the Year

A heartfelt thank you to Minister Ros Spence MP, Con O'Brien, and Geoff Sharp for championing the power of volunteers, and to the ever-inspiring Rana Hussain for leading the evening with grace.

This award is not just a recognition—it’s a tribute to the silent changemakers who form the foundation of every NGO. To all volunteers: You are the reason hope thrives.
