EmPower 2026 💜

It was wonderful to attend and sponsor the 4th annual EmPower Breakfast in Bundaberg.

The theme was 'AI in a healthy relationship.'

It's always great to hear the perspective of our young people when it comes to healthy relationships and how they are dealing with fast paced technology changes. Our future is in good hands.

Congrats to EDON Place Domestic and Family Violence Service, Bundaberg Central Rotary Club and the Zonta Club of Bundaberg for putting on a great event.

Bundaberg's Bill ‘Maurice’ Sellen has had a lifelong love of sailing, photography and was even a jackaroo back in the day.

Bill enjoys a daily visit to his local coffee and donut shop.

The secret? He credits good food and taking care of his health as the key ingredients to longevity.

What can you do? Learn the three simple steps to save a life.

👉Call: Call Triple Zero (000) immediately and follow the operator’s instructions.
👉Push: Start CPR by pushing hard and fast in the centre of the chest.
👉Shock: If an AED is available, turn it on and follow the voice prompts.

You don’t need to be a medical professional to make a difference. Knowing what to do in those critical first moments could help give someone their best chance of survival.
