🎉 A BIG DAY AT BUNDY SOUTH! 🎉
Friday 30 October 2026
Next Friday is shaping up to be a HUGE day at Bundaberg South State School as we celebrate three fantastic events!
🍎 World Teachers' Day – Celebrating our amazing teachers and all the hard work they put in every day!
❤️ Day for Daniel – Raising awareness about child safety and the importance of keeping our kids safe.
🌈 Colour Run – Finishing the day with some colourful fun!
To help us celebrate, we are asking ALL students to bring along THREE things:
👕 A white or light-coloured shirt for the Colour Run – Students will have the opportunity to change into this shirt before the Colour Run. Please send it along in their school bag.
❤️ Something RED for Day for Daniel – We encourage students to wear something red to school in support of child safety awareness. This might be red shorts, socks, a scarf or a red shirt. If students choose to wear a red shirt, they will need to change into their white or light-coloured shirt before the Colour Run. Students can wear their red shorts or socks throughout the day if they wish.
🍎 A positive compliment for your teachers! – Most importantly, we would love every student to come prepared with some kind words for the teachers who work so hard every day to make your time here at South amazing. It might be a simple thank you, a compliment or something special you appreciate about your teacher.
👕 A Quick Note About Clothing
Students can arrive at school wearing their red clothing for Day for Daniel. Before the Colour Run, we will provide time for students to change into their white or light-coloured shirts.
Please pack a plastic bag for coloured clothing after the run, along with a towel or spare clothes if needed for the trip home. Students should also bring suitable footwear, a hat and a water bottle.
❤️ A Safety Reminder for Families
As we recognise Day for Daniel, we encourage all families to take a few minutes to talk with their children about staying safe. Remind them that they have the right to feel safe, that it's okay to say NO if something doesn't feel right, and that they should always speak to a trusted adult if they feel worried, uncomfortable or unsafe.
It's going to be a fantastic day of celebration, kindness, awareness and FUN!
Let's make it a great one, Bundy South! ❤️💙🌈
