We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to acknowledge National Police Legacy Day earlier this week. Observed each year on 17 June, this important day is marked by ceremonies and community activities across the country, honouring the service and sacrifice of those who have served in policing.
Through these commemorations, we remember and recognise the dedication of those who have protected our communities, ensuring their memory is never forgotten. We also honour the ongoing strength, courage, and resilience of the families they leave behind.

This week we have been recognising National Police Legacy Day, which was on 17 June. This has been a time to pause to honour police families who have lost a loved one who served, and who continue to navigate life after loss.
We recognise the vital work of Police Legacy organisations who continue to support them through grief, resilience and hope.

On 17 June, we will celebrate National Police Legacy Day. This occasion to honours the vital work of Police Legacy organisations across Australia. This day offers an opportunity to acknowledge the unwavering support these organisations provide to Police and their families.

Congratulations & a HUGE thank you to Barnawartha Football & Netball Club. We’re incredibly grateful for your generosity in raising an amazing $19,194.60 for Victoria Police Legacy at your Charity Ladies Day! Your fundraising will make a real difference to Victoria Police Legacy families while also raising awareness for VPL. It’s inspiring to see the community come together to help others and stand beside your local Victoria Police community. Thank you to everyone involved!

The support that Victoria Police Legacy offer Victoria Police families who have lost a loved one is second to none. Your End Of Financial Year (EOFY) tax-deductible donation will help us to improve the lives of police families who have lost a loved one by offering meaningful support services to over 1,400 Victoria Police Legatees.

• provide effective welfare support and services to police families at the right time
• provide education grants to children and financial assistance in times of hardship
• improve opportunities for fellowship and connection with others within the police family who too have lost a loved one.
