Move over lawn p**n, it's time to perve on a verge!

Baileys have been a big part of my gardening journey over the past six years, but their love affair with WA soil goes back much further... an incredible 100 years! ๐ŸŒฟ

So that is why i am telling you about the Baileys Verge awards which closes at the end of this week on 20/9/26 & winners will be announced on 1/10/26 so be sure to nominate yourself or someone you think should win either of these fabulous prizes.

Best Verge Award: $10,000 cash prize
Verge Makeovers: 3x $5,000 makeovers to be won

Creating a waterwise masterpiece is easier than you may think and thats why I have been a great supporter & advocate for native gardens and verge fronts. Low maintenance with high reward is what I am all about!

Benefits for growing a verge garden/ native garden is a whole other post in itself.

My top tips-
1. Tubestock is magical! They save you money, suffer less transplant shock and establish themselves a healthy root system which encourages growth.
2. Adding a couple of handfuls of a clay/compost mix when planting helps retain a bit of moisture, especially during your plantsโ€™ first summer. Water them in for about 20 seconds per plant
3. Donโ€™t be afraid to experiment. Youโ€™ll be surprised at how much you can learn from trial and error
4. Know & note the sun pattern to your block. This will help you map out your garden & choose your plants
5. Remember to take time to sit back and enjoy your hard work
