🚨🚒 Fire Call - Meroo Meadow 🚒🚨

Earlier today, volunteers from Cambewarra Rural Fire Brigade were called to a grass fire on Boxsells Lane, Meroo Meadow.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find an area of grass alight, our volunteers went to work and were joined shortly after by colleagues from Broughton Vale and West Nowra Rural Fire Brigades.

FIRE PERMITS SUSPENDED – Monday 21st September 2026

The Shoalhaven is forecast to experience HIGH fire danger conditions on Monday 21st September 2026. As a result of the forecast all fire permits issued by the RFS have been suspended in the Shoalhaven for this time.

These conditions can create a real fire risk across our landscape. It's incumbent upon all of us to be cautious with the use of fire.

ONE EMBER CAN END IT - Embers from a fire can spread quickly and quite a distance, putting communities well away from the main fire at risk.
