Keep up the good Ken Behrens! If you havenβt gotten vaccinated yet there are still plenty of bookings available.
Today we reached >99% of Canberrans aged 12 years and over who have received 1 dose of a COVID-19 vaccine ππͺ
And 76% of Canberrans aged 12 years and over have now received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine ππ
What an achievement for us as we transition out of the ACT lockdown π
Many of you have asked what population data we use to calculate our vaccination rates. We use the March 2021 Estimated Resident Population (ERP) provided by our friends at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. This means we are using the latest data since the start of the vaccination rollout to track our rates β noting population data is always an estimate π
Some of you have also asked whether we are tallying figures of people weβve administered COVID-19 vaccines in the ACT, but may live elsewhere. The answer is β we only count the numbers for ACT residents (not that it has stopped us from helping vaccinate residents from other jurisdictions) π€
We hope this settles the debate and confirms that Canberra really is one of the most vaccinated (and greatest) cities in the world π
Please note today will be the final day we report Canberrans receiving a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. From tomorrow we will only be publishing the vaccination rate for double doses for Canberrans aged 12 years and over.

Today, we honour and remember those families and loved ones of service men and women who have lost their lives. And thank all who have served, and those that serve still. Lest we forget.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Happy IWD to all the young women fighting for change and to make the world safer for women in their workplaces, their high schools, on the streets and on their university campuses.
Today is a moment to reflect on how far we have come and to celebrate the women who have fought before us, and to recognise how far we still need to go.
The fight is not over. βπΌβ¨

Wishing Queensland Young Labor
the best of luck for the QLD Election today!
Hereβs to sticking with Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, a great Labor Woman, and phenomenal Labor Leader!
Today is the final day to cast your vote in Queensland - and polls have officially opened.
Itβs the last chance we have to re-elect a Palaszczuk Labor Government.
Itβs the last chance we have to stop Deb Frecklington and the LNP from cutting the guts out of Queensland.
If you havenβt voted, donβt forget β thereβs never been a more important election in this state.

The Coalition Government has once again proven its disregard for young people and students.
In the middle of a recession, the Federal Government has made education less accessible, less equitable and more expensive for thousands of prospective students, saddling them with even higher tertiary education debts.
Thanks a lot Centre Alliance π‘π‘π‘
University funding reforms set to pass after Centre Alliance confirms support Centre Alliance MP Rebekha Sharkie confirmed the minor party would hand the government the crucial support it needed to pass the reforms through the Senate.
