An inspirational solo trip to Orroral Valley via Square Rock and Smokers Gap trail. Yellow bellied black snake, dingos, interesting insects and spectacular views. One of my favorite trails because of the eucalyptus forest with some more than 2m in diameter and meadows along the way. Can't wait to go again.

An amazing rainy trip up Rendezvous Creek. The bush is a magical place after the rain stops and animals reemerge to the wet landscape.

A spectacular day at Yankee's Hat. A 7am start finds a magnificent world that disappears with the rising sun.

Orroral Valley 05/03/2023

What an amazing weekend in the Orroral Valley. 43 species of birds, 3 species of kangaroo, two snakes, and a chorus of dingoes. We were lucky enough to see 3 of the dingoes in the meadow on the last morning trying to have a kangaroo breakfast.
The black snake gave me a chance to practice my Olympic hurdles. I saw him coming toward me and the next thing I know I'm hurdling over our meter long friend running across the meadow. Talk about primal instinct, I most definitely chose flight.
Breathe taking views, loads of wildlife and the wonderful feeling of being in the wilderness. I highly recommend it. I'm happy to share our route or plan a trip with you. Hope you enjoy the pictures

January has been busy. We spent New Year's Eve Weekend camping @ Wood's Reserve and hiked to Gibraltar Falls. Such a great time.
