Australian Values are:
1. Respect for the freedom and dignity of the individual;
2. Freedom of religion (including the freedom not to follow a particular religion), freedom of speech, and freedom of association;
3. Commitment to the rule of law, which means that all people are subject to the law and should obey it;
4. Parliamentary democracy whereby our laws are determined by parliaments elected b
y the people, those laws being paramount and overriding any other inconsistent religious or secular “laws”;
5. Equality of opportunity for all people, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, race, or national or ethnic origin;
6. A ‘fair go’ for all that embraces:
- mutual respect;
- tolerance;
- compassion for those in need;
- equality of opportunity for all;
7. The English language as the national language, and as an important unifying
element of Australian society. This page is a space for truth, trust, and togetherness, allowing Australian communities to come together and enhance our inclusive national identity, sense of belonging, and shared appreciation of Australian values. Community engagement on this page is welcome but by participating on our page, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. You agree that you will:

• Remain on topic;
• Protect your personal privacy and that of others by not including personal information about yourself or others in your posts (such as names, email addresses, private addresses or phone numbers).

• Incite hatred on the basis of any personal characteristics, including on the basis of race, gender, marital or domestic status, disability, sexuality or age;
• Post anything illegal;
• Post anything abusive, hateful or that could defame any person or organisation;
• Intentionally spread misinformation;
• Post spam, advertising, or automated replies. If you breach this Code of Conduct we may:
• Hide, remove, report or take any other remedial action necessary on comments that don’t comply with these terms;
• Suspend or permanently block you from using our social media channels.
