The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Canberra was pleased to join fellow African diplomatic missions in celebrating Africa Day in Canberra, in the presence of Andrew Barr, Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory, Anne Aly, Minister for Small Business, International Development and Multicultural Affairs, and Matt Thistlethwaite, Assistant Minister for Immigration, alongside representatives of DFAT, members of the diplomatic corps and the African community in Australia.

The celebration highlighted the richness, diversity and dynamism of the African continent, while reaffirming the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between Africa and Australia. The event also reflected the spirit of unity, solidarity and partnership that continues to guide African engagement on the international stage.

H.E. Ambassador Wassane Zailachi was pleased to meet with Shayne Neumann MP for a constructive exchange on ways to further strengthen Morocco–Australia relations and parliamentary cooperation between the two friendly countries. 🇲🇦🇦🇺

The meeting reflected the shared commitment to deepening dialogue and advancing bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Australia was pleased to welcome a delegation of students from Australian National University for an educational visit and engaging exchange on Morocco, its diplomacy, and its strategic priorities.

On this occasion, the students had the opportunity to meet with H.E. Ms. Wassane Zailachi and discuss Morocco–Australia relations, Moroccan diplomacy, the Kingdom’s role in Africa, as well as key regional and international issues.

The visit also highlighted Morocco’s rich history and cultural heritage, together with its commitment to intercultural dialogue and international cooperation based on partnership, openness, and mutual respect.

The Embassy welcomes the growing interest shown by ANU students in Morocco and reiterates its commitment to strengthening academic and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
