Solomon Islands High Commission to Australia

Congratulations to all the teams that made it to FFA Futsal Championship finals today in Sydney. Special congratulations to the Solomon Islands Junior Futsal team Under-12 (champions) and Under-14 (runner-up) for representing Solomon Islands so well at the competition.

The High Commission would like to thank the Solomon Islands Canberra community and wantoks that were part of this evening's prayer gathering.

Solomon Islands is represented again at this year's Australian Futsal National State Championships in Sydney by two Junior Kurukuru teams (U-14 and U-12). The SI Junior Kurukuku U-12 are back to defend their Championship title from 2016.

Results after today's competitions are as follows:
Under 14 Junior Kurukuru: 2- 3 NSW Thunder
Under 12 Junior Kurukuru: 12 -2 ACT

Yesterday the High Commission farewelled Ms.Jenny Barile who has completed her term in office. We wish her a safe journey home and every success in her new assignment as Deputy Director of Trade. Standing with High Commissioner is, Ms. Fiona Indu, Jenny Barile and Mrs Helen Beck.
