As we celebrate National Student Volunteer Week, we’re spotlighting the vital role that Scouts Australia and Girl Guides Australia play in fostering volunteering among young people across the nation.

For over a century, these organisations have been instrumental in shaping community minded young people, with volunteering at the core of their ethos. Both Scouts and Girl Guides encourage young Australians to contribute to their communities through various initiatives such as community service and environmental conservation efforts.

This National Student Volunteer Week, we applaud the efforts of Scouts Australia and Girl Guides Australia in nurturing the next generation of volunteers and community leaders.

The Rovers had a fantastic night doing some aerial sock wrestling. The Lake Ginn Ventures worked hard to bring us the amazing equipment used. A massive Thankyou for lending us the gear!

We had multiple current and former Rovers (the deputy director of the camp was an LGRC alumni 🤯) from LGRC participate and lead bases, what an amazing camp 🏕️ ⚜️

LGRC is proud to introduce its latest additions - Cameron, Will and April - who have all been welcomed with open arms into their roles as dedicated Rovers.

THE LGRC went for a lovely evening hike to Shepherds Lookout last night

Today, two of Lake Ginns’ Rovers were presented with their Queen Scout Awards at Government House.
The Governor-General congratulated the Scouts and reflected on the ongoing relevance of Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy – including her service to others, devotion to duty and compassion.
