CIT is the ACT and region's largest provider of vocational education and training with five campuses and over 20,000 students annually. Fashion, creativity and sustainability come together at Clothing the Loop! ♻️

Join us at CIT Woden on 6 and 7 November for two days of fashion, performance and hands-on activities as part of the 2026 Craft + Design Canberra Festival.
Friday 6 November:

Step into Clothing the Loop: Evening spectacular, an immersive evening of fashion, performance and creativity. CIT students will put their skills into real-world event environment, showcasing emerging talent across music, hairdressing and hospitality.

Saturday 7 November:
Get hands-on with creative workshops, clothing repair, a clothes swap, sustainable design stalls and family-friendly activities at Clothing the Loop: Full day gathering. You can also explore CIT Woden on a guided campus tour and discover designs created by CIT Fashion students.

Whether you're passionate about fashion, looking for creative inspiration or interested in more sustainable ways to use and reuse clothing, there's something to explore.

Gregory Andrews, Lyrebird Dreaming once thought artistic talent was something you were born with. At CIT, he discovered otherwise. 🎨

After 31 years in the public service, he decided to study Visual Arts and found a new creative outlet that led to a six-metre artwork installation on the lawns of Parliament House using natural materials to raise awareness of climate change and biodiversity loss while celebrating Aboriginal identity and caring for Country.

Along the way, he built confidence, developed new skills and discovered a talent he never knew he had.

His story proves it’s never too old to learn something.

High-vis, work boots and plenty of great conversations! 👷‍♀️🦺

We recently welcomed women from across trades and renewable energy sectors to CIT Woden for Dress Code: High-Vis.

From students and apprentices to alumni, employers and industry leaders, the evening brought together women at all stages of their careers to share experiences, build connections and celebrate women in these industries.
