🕺💃 Disco Time! 💃🕺

Our Junior and Senior students have worked hard to earn their Reward Disco through their positive behaviour and commitment to our PBL school wide expectations.

⭐ Junior students earned their reward by meeting their safety target of keeping their hands and feet to themselves.

⭐ Senior students earned their reward by meeting their respectful target of following adult instructions.

We can’t wait to celebrate our students’ success!

All funds raised will be going towards the Year 6 Graduation

🌿🦎 On Monday, Year 1/2 had a fantastic day visiting the Australian National Botanic Gardens!

Students participated in two engaging guided activities, Habitat Hunter, exploring habitats and the living things that call them home, and Indigenous Plant Use, learning about the traditional uses of native Australian plants by First Nations Peoples.

The day was filled with curiosity, discovery and hands on learning. Thank you to the wonderful education team at the Botanic Gardens for such an engaging experience! 🌱🍃

Good evening Calwell Primary community,

This coming Tuesday the 23rd of June, our Year 6 Band will be hosting the Richardson Primary and Theodore Primary bands in our very own school hall at Calwell.

We'd like to invite the parents and carers of our band students to attend to watch them in concert, from 1:40 - 2pm.

Selected students from Year 5/6 have enjoyed participating in some Maths enrichment tasks over the last few days. Some great mathematicians in our midst!!

Kindergarten Writers at Work! ✏️

Our Kindergarten students have been busy turning their phonics knowledge into sentences! Using sounds they know, students independently wrote simple sentences and proudly shared their learning with confidence.

We are so proud of the growth, persistence, and excitement our young writers are showing as they take their first steps on their writing journey! 🌟📚👏

Our Photo of the Week comes from Calwell Primary School, where year 5/6 students have been doing research on world explorers. 🌍

Students researched famous explorers including Vasco da Gama, Christopher Columbus, Zheng He, James Cook and Ibn Battuta. Students investigated each explorer’s life and voyages before creating colourful, detailed posters to showcase their learning.

Well done to Calwell year 5/6 students on their creativity, curiosity and effort! 👏
