1/2 HOME READING INFORMATION SESSION - FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER

We’re looking forward to welcoming our 1/2 families to a special morning focused on home reading and the important partnership between home and school!

🕘 Arrival: 9:00am for a 9:15am start
📍 Where: Spare classroom in the 1/2 building

We’ll share information about how we teach reading at school, why home reading matters and how we can work together to support your child’s reading journey. We’ll also enjoy some fun reading activities in the 1/2 classrooms before finishing with a shared book with your child in the library!

We hope you can join us for this opportunity to connect, learn and celebrate the important role we all play in helping our young readers grow!

We would like to remind the community that we have a special opportunity for students and members of our school community to help design the 2026 Yearbook Cover!

Submission Guidelines and Deadline:
Completed artworks will need to be returned to the front office by Wednesday 14th October (Term 4, Week 1) giving all families the school holidays to complete their masterpieces. Extra entry forms can be obtained from the front office.

THEO DISCO SOCIAL STORY

We are proud to share the social story made in collaboration with our Theodore Primary School P&C Association that supports the inclusion of all students in our school community to participate in tonight's disco.

The P&C is offering 3 sessions:
5:15 – 5:50pm Preschool and Sensory Friendly
6:00 – 7:00pm Kindy, Year 1 and 2
7:15- 8:15pm Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

A reminder that all ACT public schools, including specialist schools and preschools, will be CLOSED between 8:30am and 10:30am on Thursday 24 September 2026.

There will be no onsite supervision available for students during this time. The school day will start at 10:30am.

3/4 CAMP

Our 3/4 students had an amazing time at camp!

They challenged themselves, stepped outside their comfort zones and showed incredible resilience throughout their adventures.

Birrigai staff were full of praise for how respectful and polite our students were.

We couldn’t be prouder of the way they embraced every challenge and represented our school!

3/4 CAMP UPDATE

It has been a jam- packed day one at camp. The students have been TERRIFIC and we have been so proud of the way they have challenged themselves to step out of their comfort zone in the activities. They have also represented our school brilliantly. Here are a few snaps from the day. We will continue to share more tomorrow and once the camp is over.
