The ACTSES is the lead Agency responsible for dealing with storms and floods in the ACT. This includes planning for storms and floods as well as educating members of the Community on how to protect themselves and their property. The ACTSES also assists other emergency services as required including AFP, ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Ambulance Service.

The ACT SES Woden Oranges will be at Westfield Woden this Friday from 6pm, smashing out more push-ups, sit-ups and squats for our , having already hit 10,000.

Now in our 6th year, the ACT SES Woden Oranges are taking part in The Push-Up Challenge from 3–26 June.
Over 24 days, we’re aiming to each complete 3,307 push-ups — a number that represents the 3,307 lives lost to su***de in Australia in 2024.
We’re taking on the challenge to improve our physical and mental wellbeing, start conversations about mental health, and raise funds for Lifeline Australia.

As comes to a close, ACT Emergency Services Agency thanked employers of volunteers at a recognition breakfast. Commmonwealth Superannuation Corporation and Department of Defence were recognised for their support to Woden SES members. 🧡

Good luck to the Woden team that is participating in the annual ACTSES navigation exercise, NAVCAN, today. It's happening in the Mt Painter area in Belco, so if you see a whole bunch of orange folk purposely wandering around in that area, you know why!
