The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ initiation of large-scale demolition operations targeting homes and commercial structures in the Khour al-Daba’a area of Eastern Barta’a, southwest of Jenin.
The demolitions are part of a systematic Israeli policy aimed at weakening the Palestinian presence in the occupied territory, including East Jerusalem, while advancing annexation and settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank, in blatant violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.
The targeted homes and structures shelter nearly 100 Palestinians, and their demolition would forcibly displace residents and deprive them of their basic rights, marking yet another instance of forced displacement amid Israel’s ongoing violations against the Palestinian people.
The Ministry further stressed that the repeated targeting of the Khour al-Daba’a area, including the demolition of eight homes and structures during the past week, exposes the true nature of the occupation and underscores Israel’s persistent use of its judicial and administrative apparatus as instruments to provide a false legal veneer for policies of demolition, forced displacement, and land confiscation. The Ministry called on the international community, the United Nations, and international human rights organizations to take immediate and decisive action to halt these grave violations, ensure international protection for the Palestinian people, hold those responsible accountable, and adopt effective measures to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to abide by international law and relevant UN resolutions, stressing that continued impunity only emboldens further violations against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites..

تدين وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بأشد العبارات شروع قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بتنفيذ عمليات هدم واسعة للمنازل والمنشآت السكنية والتجارية في منطقة خور الضبعة التابعة لبلدة برطعة الشرقية جنوب غرب جنين، ضمن سياسة إسرائيلية ممنهجة تستهدف الوجود الفلسطيني في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة بما فيها القدس الشرقية، وتهدف إلى تفريغ الأرض من أصحابها الأصليين وتكريس مشاريع الضم والاستيطان الزاحف في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، في انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني وقرارات الشرعية الدولية.

تؤكد الوزارة أن المنازل والمنشآت المستهدفة تؤوي ما يقارب 100 مواطن فلسطيني، وأن تنفيذ قرارات الهدم سيؤدي إلى تشريدهم وحرمانهم من حقوقهم، في جريمة تهجير قسري جديدة تضاف إلى سجل الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة بحق أبناء شعبنا.

وتؤكد الوزارة أن استهداف منطقة خور الضبعة بشكل متكرر، بما في ذلك هدم ثمانية منازل ومنشآت خلال الأسبوع الماضي، يفضح الطبيعة الحقيقية للاحتلال و يعكس إصرار سلطاته على استخدام منظومتها القضائية والإدارية كأداة لتوفير الغطاء القانوني الزائف لجرائم الهدم والتهجير القسري ومصادرة الأراضي.

وتدعو وزارة الخارجية المجتمع الدولي والأمم المتحدة ومؤسسات حقوق الإنسان الدولية إلى التحرك الفوري لوقف جرائم الهدم والتهجير القسري التي ترتكبها سلطات الاحتلال، وتوفير الحماية الدولية للشعب الفلسطيني، ومحاسبة المسؤولين عن هذه الانتهاكات الجسيمة، واتخاذ إجراءات عملية ورادعة لإجبار إسرائيل، القوة القائمة بالاحتلال، على الالتزام بالقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية، ووضع حد لسياسة الإفلات من العقاب التي تشجعها على مواصلة جرائمها بحق شعبنا وأرضه ومقدساته.

بعث سفير دولة فلسطين لدى أستراليا ونيوزيلندا ودول الباسفيك، الدكتور أمجد أبو العز، برسائل إلى أعضاء البرلمان الأسترالي من مختلف الأحزاب ، استعرض فيها أبرز التحديات السياسية والاقتصادية والإنسانية التي تواجه الشعب الفلسطيني في ظل استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وتصاعد انتهاكاته في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.

وأوضح السفير أبو العز في رسائله أن الشعب الفلسطيني يواجه ظروفاً بالغة الصعوبة نتيجة السياسات والإجراءات الإسرائيلية التي تقوض فرص تحقيق السلام والاستقرار، وتعرقل الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى تطبيق حل الدولتين الذي تؤمن به أستراليا وتدعمه وإنهاء الاحتلال. وأشار إلى أن التوسع الاستيطاني المستمر، ومصادرة الأراضي الفلسطينية، والانتهاكات المتواصلة بحق المدنيين الفلسطينيين، تشكل تحديات خطيرة أمام أي أفق سياسي جاد لتحقيق السلام العادل والدائم.

كما سلط الضوء على تصاعد اعتداءات المستوطنين المسلحين ضد المواطنين الفلسطينيين في مختلف أنحاء الضفة الغربية المحتلة، بما في ذلك الهجمات على القرى والتجمعات السكانية الفلسطينية، والاعتداء على المنازل والممتلكات والأراضي الزراعية، وإحراق المحاصيل والمركبات، الأمر الذي يفاقم معاناة المدنيين ويؤدي إلى تهجير العديد من العائلات الفلسطينية من مناطق سكنها.

وفي الجانب الاقتصادي، أكد السفير أبو العز أن الاقتصاد الفلسطيني يواجه أزمة متفاقمة نتيجة القيود الإسرائيلية المفروضة على حركة الأفراد والبضائع، والقيود المفروضة على الاستثمار والتنمية والوصول إلى الموارد الطبيعية، الأمر الذي أدى إلى ارتفاع معدلات البطالة والفقر وتراجع النمو الاقتصادي وزيادة الاعتماد على المساعدات الإنسانية.

وأشار أبو العز بشكل خاص إلى استمرار إسرائيل فيي سرقة واقتطاع أجزاء كبيرة من أموال المقاصة الفلسطينية، وهي أموال الضرائب والجمارك التي تجبيها إسرائيل نيابة عن السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية بموجب الاتفاقيات الموقعة بين الجانبين. وأكد أن هذه الإجراءات الأحادية تحرم الحكومة الفلسطينية من مواردها المالية الأساسية، وتفاقم الأزمة المالية التي تواجهها المؤسسات الفلسطينية، وتؤثر بشكل مباشر على قدرتها على دفع رواتب الموظفين وتقديم الخدمات الأساسية للمواطنين في قطاعات الصحة والتعليم والحماية الاجتماعية.

وأضاف أن استمرار احتجاز أموال المقاصة الفلسطينية يشكل ضغطاً اقتصادياً هائلاً على الشعب الفلسطيني ومؤسساته الوطنية، ويقوض قدرة الحكومة الفلسطينية على الوفاء بالتزاماتها المالية في ظل الظروف الاستثنائية التي تمر بها الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.

كما أشار السفير أبو العز إلى أنه زوّد أعضاء البرلمان الأسترالي بحزمة من التقارير والبيانات والإحصائيات الصادرة عن الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية المعنية بحقوق الإنسان والشؤون الإنسانية والاقتصادية، والتي توثق بالأرقام والحقائق حجم الانتهاكات والتحديات التي يواجهها الشعب الفلسطيني. وشملت المواد المقدمة تقارير تتعلق بأعداد الضحايا المدنيين، والتوسع الاستيطاني، واعتداءات المستوطنين المسلحين، والأوضاع الإنسانية والاقتصادية، والآثار المترتبة على استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

Ambassador Amjad Abu Al-Ezz Sends Letters to Australian Parliamentarians on the Political and Economic Situation in Palestine

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, Dr. Amjad Abu Al-Ezz, has sent letters to members of the Australian Parliament from across the political spectrum, outlining the major political, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing the Palestinian people amid the ongoing Israeli occupation and its escalating violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

In his letters, Ambassador Abu Al-Ezz explained that the Palestinian people continue to endure extremely difficult conditions as a result of Israeli policies and practices that undermine prospects for peace and stability and obstruct international efforts aimed at implementing the two-state solution, which Australia supports, and bringing an end to the occupation. He noted that continued settlement expansion, land confiscation, and ongoing violations against Palestinian civilians constitute serious obstacles to any genuine political horizon for achieving a just and lasting peace.

The Ambassador also highlighted the increasing attacks carried out by armed Israeli settlers against Palestinian citizens throughout the occupied West Bank, including assaults on Palestinian villages and communities, attacks on homes, property, and agricultural lands, as well as the burning of crops and vehicles. These acts further exacerbate the suffering of Palestinian civilians and contribute to the displacement of many Palestinian families from their homes.

On the economic front, Ambassador Abu Al-Ezz stressed that the Palestinian economy is facing a deepening crisis as a result of Israeli restrictions on the movement of people and goods, limitations on investment and development, and restricted access to natural resources. These measures have led to rising levels of unemployment and poverty, declining economic growth, and increased dependence on humanitarian assistance.

The Ambassador specifically pointed to Israel’s continued withholding and deduction of substantial portions of Palestinian clearance revenues, which consist of taxes and customs duties collected by Israel on behalf of the Palestinian Authority under existing agreements. He emphasized that these unilateral measures deprive the Palestinian government of its primary financial resources, aggravate the financial crisis facing Palestinian institutions, and directly affect their ability to pay public sector salaries and provide essential services in the fields of healthcare, education, and social protection.

He added that the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues places enormous economic pressure on the Palestinian people and their national institutions and undermines the Palestinian government’s ability to meet its financial obligations under the exceptional circumstances prevailing in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Ambassador Abu Al-Ezz further noted that he provided Australian parliamentarians with a comprehensive package of reports, data, and statistics issued by the United Nations and international organizations concerned with human rights, humanitarian affairs, and economic development. These materials document, through verified facts and figures, the scale of the violations and challenges facing the Palestinian people. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has welcomed the decision by the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, New Zealand, and Norway to impose a new package of sanctions on a number of entities and individuals involved in financing, supporting, and carrying out attacks by Israeli settlers against the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank, particularly amid the alarming escalation of settler violence and organized crimes throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.
The Ministry described the sanctions as an important step in the right direction, consistent with the principles, values, and legal obligations that these countries have endorsed through international agreements. It stressed that international law is not merely a political statement but a binding commitment that must be respected and enforced. The sanctions reflect the reality that colonial settlement activity in all its forms is illegal under international law and constitutes a direct threat to the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, as well as to regional peace and stability.
The Ministry further emphasized that the daily attacks faced by Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, targeting lives, property, land, and holy sites, are part of an official Israeli policy based on settlement expansion, forced displacement, and the appropriation of Palestinian land. ترحب وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين باعلان المملكة المتحدة واستراليا وكندا وفرنسا ونيوزيلندا والنرويج وايرلندا فرض حزمة جديدة من العقوبات على عدد من الجهات والافراد المتورطين في تمويل ودعم وتنفيذ اعتداءات المستوطنين ضد ابناء شعبنا في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، خاصة في ظل التصاعد الخطير في ارهاب المستوطنين وجرائمهم المنظمة في الارض الفلسطينية المحتلة بما فيها القدس الشرقية.

وترى الوزارة ان هذه العقوبات تمثل خطوة مهمة في الاتجاه الصحيح تنسجم مع المبادئ والقيم والقوانين التي تبنتها هذه الدول وتعاقدت عليها في الاتفاقات الدولية، وتؤكد ان القانون الدولي ليس خطابا سياسيا بل التزاما فعليا يجب احترامه وتطبيقه، وتعكس حقيقة ان الاستيطان الاستعماري بجميع اشكاله غير شرعي وغير قانوني، وانه يشكل تهديدا مباشرا لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني غير القابلة للتصرف، وتهدد الامن والاستقرار.

وتؤكد الوزارة ان ما يتعرض له المواطنون الفلسطينيون في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس الشرقية، من اعتداءات يومية على الارواح والممتلكات والاراضي والمقدسات يتم في اطار سياسة اسرائيلية رسمية تقوم على التوسع الاستيطاني والتهجير القسري والاستيلاء على الارض الفلسطينية، وبحماية واسناد مباشر من جيش الاحتلال واذرعه المختلفة، الامر الذي يتطلب اجراءات دولية اكثر جدية وفاعلية لمحاسبة جميع المتورطين في هذه الجرائم ومن ضمنها حكومة الاحتلال المتطرفة.

كما ترحب الوزارة بالمواقف الدولية التي تؤكد عدم شرعية المستوطنات، وبالتحذيرات الموجهة للشركات والمؤسسات والافراد من الانخراط في اي انشطة اقتصادية او مالية مع أو داخل المستوطنات المقامة على الارض الفلسطينية المحتلة، وتعتبر ذلك خطوة ضرورية للانسجام مع احكام القانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية ذات الصلة.

وتدعو الوزارة المجتمع الدولي والدول كافة الى البناء على هذه الخطوات من خلال فرض المزيد من العقوبات الرادعة على منظومة الاستيطان الاستعماري برمتها، وتأكيد مسؤولية حكومة الاحتلال عن جرائم المستوطنين، ومنع التعامل مع منتجات المستوطنات غير الشرعية في الاسواق العالمية وتنفيذ مبدأ الولاية القضائية العالمية واتخاذ اجراءات عملية لحماية الشعب الفلسطيني، وضمان تنفيذ قرارات الشرعية الدولية والرأي الاستشاري لمحكمة العدل الدولية، بما يسهم في انهاء الاحتلال وتجسيد دولة فلسطين المستقلة بعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Israeli Massacre Targeting Displaced Civilians in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal Neighborhood and Calls for International Action

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the horrific crime committed by Israeli occupation forces on Saturday evening, when they targeted tents sheltering displaced civilians near Al-Rimal Preparatory Boys School in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City. The attack resulted in the killing of six Palestinians, including two women, and injured at least 15 others, most of them children.
The Ministry considers the targeting of shelters housing displaced families, including children and women who have already lost their homes, to be part of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. It reflects a blatant disregard for international humanitarian law and the obligations of the occupying power, while further deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and ignoring President Trump’s plan as well as relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2803.
The Ministry holds the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime and all other crimes committed against the Palestinian people. It stresses that the continued impunity perpetrated by Israel encourages the repetition and escalation of massacres against Palestinian civilians and undermines any prospects for a just peace and accountability.
The Ministry calls on mediating and guarantor states, particularly the United States, to take immediate action to compel Israel to end its attacks on civilians, comply with international law, and ensure the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

تدين وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بأشد العبارات الجريمة البشعة التي ارتكبتها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي مساء اليوم السبت باستهدافها خيما تأوي نازحين قرب مدرسة ذكور الرمال الإعدادية في حي الرمال غرب مدينة غزة، ما أدى إلى استشهاد ستة مواطنين، بينهم سيدتان، وإصابة ما لا يقل عن 15 آخرين، معظمهم من الأطفال.

وترى الوزارة أن استهداف أماكن إيواء النازحين، بما تضمه من أطفال ونساء وعائلات فقدت منازلها، يندرج في إطار جريمة الإبادة الجماعية المتواصلة بحق الشعب الفلسطيني، ويعكس استخفافا فاضحا بقواعد القانون الدولي الإنساني والالتزامات المترتبة على القوة القائمة بالاحتلال، فضلا عن تعميق الكارثة الإنسانية في قطاع غزة، وتجاهل لخطة الرئيس ترامب وقرارات مجلس الامن بما فيها 2803.

وتدعو الوزارة الدول الوسيطة والضامنة، وعلى رأسها الولايات المتحدة، إلى التحرك الفوري والضغط على إسرائيل، السلطة القائمة بالاحتلال، لوقف جرائمها بحق المدنيين الفلسطينيين، وضمان الالتزام الكامل بالقرارات الدولية ذات الصلة، وتأمين إدخال المساعدات الإنسانية بشكل فوري ومستدام إلى قطاع غزة دون قيود.

كما تجدد الوزارة مطالبتها للمجتمع الدولي بالتحرك العاجل والفاعل وتفعيل آليات المساءلة الدولية من أجل الوقف الفوري لجميع الانتهاكات والممارسات والسياسات والجرائم الممنهجة المرتكبة بحق شعبنا في قطاع غزة، وضمان التدفق المستدام للمساعدات الإنسانية دون قيود، وإدخال المواد الأساسية من مأوى وعلاج وإغاثة، وصولا إلى وقف شامل للعدوان، والانسحاب الإسرائيلي الكامل، والتعافي وإعادة الإعمار، وتأمين الحماية الدولية لشعبنا الفلسطيني، وتجسيد دولته المستقلة على حدود الرابع من حزيران عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the horrific crime committed by Israeli occupation forces on Saturday evening, when they targeted tents sheltering displaced civilians near Al-Rimal Preparatory Boys School in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City. The attack resulted in the killing of six Palestinians, including two women, and injured at least 15 others, most of them children.

The Ministry considers the targeting of shelters housing displaced families, including children and women who have already lost their homes, to be part of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. It reflects a blatant disregard for international humanitarian law and the obligations of the occupying power, while further deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and ignoring President Trump’s plan as well as relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2803.

The Ministry holds the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime and all other crimes committed against the Palestinian people. It stresses that the continued impunity perpetrated by Israel encourages the repetition and escalation of massacres against Palestinian civilians and undermines any prospects for a just peace and accountability.

The Ministry calls on mediating and guarantor states, particularly the United States, to take immediate action to compel Israel to end its attacks on civilians, comply with international law, and ensure the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the horrific crime committed by Israeli occupation forces in Hebron, where soldiers deliberately and directly opened fire on a Palestinian civilian vehicle despite it having come to a complete stop. The attack resulted in the killing of seven-month-old infant Sam Abu Heikal and the injury of his parents, who sustained wounds of varying severity.
The Ministry affirms that this crime constitutes an extrajudicial ex*****on and represents a grave manifestation of the continued policy of targeting Palestinian civilians, including children and other protected persons. It is a blatant violation of the most fundamental humanitarian principles, international norms, and the provisions of international humanitarian law. The Ministry further notes that the inclusion of Israel and its agents on the United Nations list of parties responsible for grave violations against children in armed conflict must be accompanied by effective mechanisms to hold perpetrators accountable.
The Ministry stresses that the recurrence of such crimes reflects a systematic and deliberate pattern, enabled by the persistent impunity enjoyed by those responsible for crimes against the Palestinian people. This impunity encourages the occupation system to continue its policies of genocide and forced displacement throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.

تدين وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بأشد العبارات الجريمة البشعة التي ارتكبتها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في مدينة الخليل، والتي تتمثل في إطلاق النار المتعمد والمباشر على مركبة مدنية فلسطينية رغم توقفها بالكامل في منطقة واد الهرية في الخليل، ما أدى إلى استشهاد الطفل الرضيع سام أبو هيكل (7 أشهر) وإصابة والديه بجروح متفاوتة.

وتؤكد الوزارة أن هذه الجريمة تشكل إعداماً ميدانياً، وتعبيراً خطيراً عن استمرار سياسة استهداف المدنيين الفلسطينيين، بما في ذلك الأطفال والآمنين، في انتهاك صارخ لأبسط المبادئ الإنسانية والأعراف الدولية وأحكام القانون الدولي الإنساني. وتشير الى ان ادراج الاحتلال وادواته على القائمة الاممية العار للجهات التي تنتهك حقوق الاطفال في النزاعات المسلحة، بحاجة الى أليات لمحاسبة المجرمين.

وتشدد الوزارة على أن تكرار مثل هذه الجرائم يعكس نمطاً ممنهجاً، في ظل استمرار حالة الإفلات من العقاب لمرتكبي الجرائم ضد أبناء شعبنا، الأمر الذي يشجع منظومة الاحتلال على الاستمرار في حرب الإبادة والتهجير في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس الشرقية.

وتحمّل الوزارة حكومة الاحتلال المسؤولية الكاملة والمباشرة عن هذه الجريمة، وتدعو المجتمع الدولي، ومؤسسات الأمم المتحدة، والمحاكم الدولية المختصة، إلى التحرك الفوري لمحاسبة المسؤولين عنها ومساءلة حكومة الاحتلال، وتوفير الحماية الدولية العاجلة لاطفال فلسطين وشعبها، ووقف سياسة الإفلات من العقاب التي تقوّض العدالة الدولية.
