We have had a dry spell here in Candelo but this morning, after 6 months of no rain we tipped 26mm out of the guage and we have chances of showers again today and tomorrow as well. A huge relief and hopefully we will see some pasture rejuvenation over the next few weeks. After the rainfall overnight the sheep are looking beautiful and clean again and this Bega Valley ewe caught my eye when out feeding today. Great shedding pattern from the top down, good stance, solid black nose and feet, this is a 2025 maiden ewe and is what we have been breeding towards. Looking to next season we have invested some of the best AW genetics this year with 7 new stud ewes, unfortunately we missed out on the new stud ram we were after but will try again in the new year. We have some terrific young rams coming on and with ewes like this in the pipeline and some rain overnight I can't wait to see what we can produce next year.
