💚 Another week, another hamper day at The Red Shed! 🛒🥫
Every week, we’re grateful to be able to provide free grocery hampers to people and families in our community who are doing it tough. We know that life can be challenging, and sometimes even putting food on the table can become a struggle. We’re here because we believe everyone deserves a little help when times get hard. ❤️
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen more and more people reaching out for support. While we’re so happy that The Red Shed can make a difference, the growing demand also means we need to make some difficult decisions to ensure we can continue helping as many people as possible.
Moving forward, we’ll need to introduce some limitations for those who collect hampers regularly every week. We understand that this may be disappointing or difficult for some of you, and we want you to know that this decision comes from a place of care, not judgement. We know that everyone has their own struggles, and no one should ever feel ashamed for asking for help. 💚
Our mission is to support people who are struggling to make ends meet, especially during difficult periods of their lives. At the same time, we want to make sure that other individuals and families who are also facing hardship have the opportunity to receive support from us.
🙏 If you’re finding it difficult to afford groceries week after week, please reach out to us.You can arrange an appointment during the week to complete a referral form. This will help us understand your circumstances and work out how we may be able to support you.
We also want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt **thank you to OzHarvest and Keep Queensland Beautiful** for their ongoing support and for helping us continue our work in the community. 💚 Your support makes a real difference and helps us reach more people and families who need a helping hand. We’re truly grateful to have you alongside us in this mission.
We know that everyone's situation is different, and we ask for your kindness and understanding as we try to balance the needs of our whole community with the resources we have available.
We’re only a small community initiative, doing our best with what we have. Every hamper we share is made possible through the generosity of our supporters, volunteers and partners, and we hope to keep helping those who need us for as long as we can.
Thank you for being part of The Red Shed community. Let's continue looking after one another, showing compassion and making sure no one feels alone when times get tough. ❤️
The Red Shed — a little help, a little hope, and a stronger community together.💚🛒
