🧠🎉 Trivia Fun at Taylors Beach! 🎉🧠

It was a battle of the brains at our NovaCare Taylors Beach Social Centre as five teams went head-to-head for the ultimate trivia bragging rights! 🏆

There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and teamwork as everyone put their knowledge to the test.

A huge congratulations to our winning team, The Taylors Beach Bluebells! 💙🌸👏

Well done to all five teams for getting involved and making it such a fun-filled day. It's days like these that remind us how wonderful it is to come together, share a laugh and enjoy great company! 💚

💚 National Carers Week 2026 – Caring for Those Who Care 💚

This National Carers Week, NovaCare proudly recognises and celebrates the more than 3 million Australians who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend.

This year’s theme, “Care for a carer: Making carers visible,” reminds us of the incredible contribution carers make every day, often while balancing work, family and their own health and wellbeing.

At NovaCare, we see firsthand the love, dedication and compassion carers bring to the lives of those they support. Their contribution is invaluable, and they deserve to feel recognised, appreciated and supported.

💚💙 Great news for Support at Home clients!

From today 1 October 2026, the Australian Government is removing client contributions for approved personal care services under the Support at Home program.
This means eligible clients will no longer need to pay a contribution towards approved personal care services, provided they have available Support at Home funding.

Personal care can include support with:
🚿 Showering and bathing
👕 Dressing and getting ready for the day
🧼 Personal hygiene and grooming
💙 Continence support
💊 Assistance with self-administration of medication

At NovaCare, we think this is a fantastic change that will make it easier for people to access the support they need to remain safe, independent and living well at home.

If you already receive personal care, would like some extra support, or have previously chosen not to access personal care because of the contribution costs, now is a great time to have a chat with your Care Partner.

Your NovaCare Care Partner can talk with you about your needs, available funding and what personal care services may be right for you.

🚒 A special visit from Mayfield East Fire Brigade! 🔥

Our NovaFriends had a fantastic time welcoming the Mayfield East Fire Brigade to NovaCare Head Office.

The crew shared some important fire safety information, including the importance of working smoke alarms and how to safely dispose of batteries. 🔋🏠

Of course, there was plenty of fun too! Everyone enjoyed getting an up-close look at the firefighting equipment, and it was very cool to watch the fire truck ladder extend so high into the air! 🚒🪜

A big thank you to the Mayfield East Fire Brigade for taking the time to visit, share valuable safety tips and give our NovaFriends such an interesting and enjoyable experience. ❤️

🍔🌿 Swansea Men’s Group Out & About!

Our Swansea Men’s Group enjoyed a great day out at Blackbutt Reserve, with a picnic lunch of delicious ham and pineapple burgers! 🍍🍔

Good food, fresh air, plenty of laughs and great company made for another enjoyable Men’s Group outing.

There’s nothing better than getting outdoors, sharing a meal and spending time with mates. 💚

Today we celebrate World Physiotherapy Day and recognise the wonderful physiotherapy team at NovaCare!

This year’s theme focuses on cardiovascular disease and stroke, highlighting the important role physiotherapists play in supporting recovery, improving movement and strength, and helping people maintain their independence and quality of life.

We’re incredibly grateful for our NovaCare physios and the care, knowledge and encouragement they provide to our consumers every day.
