FUNDRAISER: Devon Grindley, one of our fantastic Year 10’s has been selected to play in the Gridiron State Championships! He is setting off in April to compete in Queensland.
We are trying to help him raise $2000 to cover some of the trip. Any amount, large or small, would be beyond gratefully appreciated. Well done and good luck Devon! 👏👏👏

EVENT: Astronomy Viewing Evening, attended by students of Year 10 Astronomy, Year 11/12 Physics, teachers, parents and a few extras! We had a great evening sharing some of the night sky. 5 telescopes were on hand, including the two school ‘scopes. We looked at the moon, Jupiter (and its 4 Galilean moons), the binary star Alpha Centauri and the red supergiant Betelgeuse (said many more times than the obligatory 3!). We studied a star nursery, Orion Nebula (M42), and star clusters Pleiades, Pin Cushion and Jewel Box. The first (and not the last) star party at CDSC! 🌟 🔭 🪐

ASPIRE PROGRAM: Last Friday, the ASPIRE Mountain Biking program participated in the Rocky Trial Academy Race at Redhill and it was a great experience for everyone that went. Out of all contestants that raced we had one in particular that came 3rd. Well done to Lila!!
It was so great seeing everyone have such a good day going down all the trails such as:
· Wombat
· High roller
· Eastlink Trail
The best being High Roller, because of all the drop offs and berms and seeing all the expensive bikes was pretty cool too.
Huge thanks to Mr Wale and Xavier for taking us to the race! 🚲
