A huge THANKYOU to our wonderful Treasurer, Christine Reddish who is retiring from the role. Chris has been a Treasurer of both the Cassilis Recreation Reserve and Cassilis Cemetery Victoria for many years and we sincerely thank her for her valued contribution.

Chris will remain on both committees and we welcome our new Treasurers for the roles:
Sandi Beltrame for the Cassilis Recreation Reserve
and Alison Smith treasurer for the Cassilis Cemetery.

We have had a great Spring Market at the Cassilis Recreation Reserve yesterday, even though we had a few less stalls. Thankyou to those who were able to attend this month.

The weather improved and it was great to see so many come along to check out the stalls, grab some delicious food and catch up with family or friends.

All funds we raise goes towards maintaining our Recreation Reserve and our next major project which is to install a bore to water our memorial trees in the Arboretum.

Our next market will at the start of Summer, on Sunday the 6th of December so there's plenty of time to make your items for a stall or clean out your shed to have a "Trash & Treasure" stall. Stalls only cost $15 for a marquee site and $8 for a car boot site. A bargain!!

We received a letter from the National Trust today saying that the three pine trees in the Cassilis Cemetery Victoria are now recognised as being listed on the National Trust Significant Tree Register being of Regional Significance.

It is great news to have them identified as being significant and rare for Victoria. You can read the full report here:

We knew the trees in the Cassilis Cemetery Victoria were pretty special and there is also a beautiful oak tree and other pine trees on site to visit and enjoy.

We've had a productive morning at the Cassilis Recreation Reserve and Cassilis Cemetery Victoria getting lots of mulching done, pruning trees and removing some tree guards and fencing.

Both the Reserve and Cemetery look great with the help of all our fabulous volunteers & committee who work hard for our community and visitors to enjoy this fabulous location.
