🚶‍♂️🔥 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer – We’re Back! 💛

Catherine Field Rural Fire Brigade is proud to once again be taking part in the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer at Campbelltown Athletics Centre today!

Our members are joining the Emergency Services Team, standing shoulder to shoulder with our fellow first responders and the local community to support those affected by cancer. 💛

Every lap, every step and every dollar raised helps support vital cancer services and support networks right here in the Macarthur region.

Cancer touches so many lives, including those of our families, friends, colleagues and the communities we serve. Today is about coming together, showing our support and making a difference for those who need it most.

A big thank you to everyone taking part, volunteering, donating and supporting this incredible event. ❤️

Congratulations to our newest qualified firefighters.

Earlier this week Lucy, Madison and Dave from Catherine Field RFB along with Ethan from NSW RFS - Middleton Brigade were put through their paces during the assessment, testing the knowledge and practical skills that they had been taught over the past few months.

Well done everyone, your commitment and dedication to the training has paid off.

Over the weekend a team from Catherine Field attended the NSW RFS State Championships to compete in a wide variety of events and scenarios designed on testing skills, knowledge and teamwork.

Congratulations to the guys who throughout the weekend won first place for 2 events, second place for another, and taking out the weekend in 3rd place overall. A massive effort and well done!

Another huge congratulations is for our very own captain who was awarded the Individual Outstanding Firefighter Award for the leadership he demonstrated throughout the weekend. Well done Troy!

A big thankyou to everyone involved in making the weekend a success. We also had Catherine Field members involved in the running of events at the championships.

🚒🔥 Catherine Field RFB is heading to the 2026 RFS State Championship! 🔥🚒

This weekend, 11th to 13th September, our team (Troy, Rob, DJ, Blake and James) will be competing at Dubbo Showground for the RFS State Championship, putting their training to the test against brigades from across NSW.

The team are looking forward to challenging their knowledge, skills and teamwork alongside some of the best crews in the state!

Events like this highlight why regular training matters so much. The more you train, the faster muscle memory develops, meaning better speed, efficiency and safety when it counts most, both on the competition ground and on the fireground.

Wish the team luck as they represent Catherine Field RFB this weekend!

A Total Fire Ban is in place today, Saturday 5th September, for the Greater Sydney Region, where Extreme fire danger is forecast.

Warm, dry and windy conditions are expected across parts of NSW, with High fire danger across much of the northeast.

Know your fire risk and what you will do if fire threatens. Report all unattended fires to Triple Zero (000).
